RoMa Craft Neanderthal

The RoMa Craft Neanderthal is the strongest cigar the company makes, and it's strong on purpose. The reason is one leaf: Pennsylvania Green River Sucker One, a double ligero with two to three times the nicotine of anything else in the factory.

A Mexican San Andrés wrapper covers a Connecticut broadleaf binder, with filler from Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, and that Pennsylvania ligero. The San Andrés brings dark sweetness, the broadleaf binder builds on it, and the Pennsylvania leaf supplies the power. It's full-bodied and then some.

Dark chocolate, charred earth, black pepper, and a floral note that shows up in the bigger sizes. Flat-capped, best cut with scissors or a punch. Not a beginner's cigar. Rolled at Fábrica de Tabacos Nica Sueño in Estelí.

HOXD (4x46) — Petite corona. The smallest format, and the fastest way to feel the nicotine. Eat first.

SGP (4.4x52) — Rothschild. Short and concentrated, all the power in a 40-minute smoke.

HN (5x58) — The flagship robusto. The size most reviewers rate and the best balance of flavor and strength.

OM (7x38) — Lancero. The thin ring pushes the San Andrés wrapper forward and tames the power slightly.
